All about Incandescence
Incandescence is a one-woman business run by me, Pam, from my home in Callander. It’s known as the gateway to the Scottish Highlands – I recommend a visit if you haven’t been!
I’ve lived here for more than 10 years with my husband and children (and ever-increasing entourage of pets), and we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. A true home-bird at heart, coziness and comfort are key ingredients in our life here. And so my love of candles was born!
I make each candle by hand in my wee kitchen. Every step in the process, from weighing ingredients, to packaging and posting your candles, is all done by me.
All my candles are made using eco friendly ingredients; everything is certified vegan, cruelty free, and biodegradable. From the start, I wanted to produce something that was as environmentally friendly as possible. Soy wax is also water soluble, so once your candle is finished, you can wash the jar in hot, soapy water and re-use it.
Our packaging is also as eco-friendly as possible; everything except the tape can go in your recycling bin. The packing peanuts can be put in your compost bin, or dissolved in water.
